- Derek Brown has won the Republican nomination in the Utah attorney general’s race to fill the open seat, and will face Democrat Rudy Bautista in the 2024 general election. Utah AG Sean Reyes, a Republican, has announced that he will not seek reelection.
- Shannon Taylor, Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney, has announced that she will seek the Democratic nomination for Virginia AG, in advance of the state’s 2025 election. Virginia AG Jason Miyares, a Republican, has not yet announced whether he will seek reelection.
