- Hawaii Governor-Elect Josh Green announced the nomination of Anne E. Lopez as the state’s next AG.
- Lopez is currently the chief operating officer and general counsel of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, a public-benefit corporation that provides healthcare services in the state. Lopez previously served as a special assistant to former Hawaii AG David M. Louie from January 2013 through June 2015, prior to which she was in private practice.
- Lopez will replace current AG Holly T. Shikada, who was appointed to the position by Governor David Ige in December 2021.
