- In the settlement agreement, AG James alleges that Fidelity used its market dominance to enter into agreements with other companies not to solicit, recruit, or hire each other’s employees who sold title insurance policies and services to customers. These no-poach agreements allegedly harmed employees by depriving them of access to better job opportunities.
- Under the terms of the settlement, Fidelity must pay $3.5 million to the state of New York, cooperate with future investigations into similar misconduct in the title insurance industry, and terminate any existing no-poach agreements, among other things.
