Bondi Takes the Helm at U.S. DOJ; Members of Texas and Pennsylvania AG Offices Take New Positions

  • Former Florida AG Pam Bondi was confirmed by the Senate as the new U.S. Attorney General on February 4, 2025. A bipartisan group of sixty-two former state attorneys general had sent a letter to U.S. Senate leaders in support of AG Bondi’s confirmation.
  • Lanora Pettit, a former Principal Deputy Solicitor General with the Texas AG’s office, has joined the U.S. DOJ as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General.
  • Pennsylvania AG Dave Sunday announced that Darryl Lawrence will serve as the Interim Consumer Advocate while the process continues to appoint and confirm a permanent Consumer Advocate. The Consumer Advocate represents Commonwealth consumers in public utility service quality and pricing matters.
