- The Anti-Robocall Multistate Litigation Task Force, comprised of 50 AGs, issued warning letters to eight Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) providers regarding concerns that they may be transmitting illegal robocall traffic in violation of the Telemarketing Sales Rule, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Truth in Caller ID Act, and state consumer protection laws.
- The letters were sent to All Access Telecom, Inc.; Lingo Telecom, LLC; NGL Communications LLC; Range, Inc.; RSCom Ltd. and RSCom Business, LLC; Telcast Networks, LLC; thinQ Technologies, Inc.; and Telcentris, Inc. dba Voxox. In the letters, the Task Force states that the VoIP providers failed to cease transmitting suspected illegal call traffic following the Task Force’s issuance of Civil Investigative Demands (CIDs) to the providers, and the Task Force reiterates its concerns regarding the call traffic.
- The Task Force cautions the VoIP providers to cease transmitting suspected illegal call traffic, and warns of enforcement actions if they do not comply.
