- The FTC announced that it is directing its Bureau of Competition, Bureau of Consumer Protection, Bureau of Economics, and Office of Policy Planning to form a Joint Labor Task Force to address deceptive, unfair, and anticompetitive labor practices.
- The Directive Regarding Labor Markets Task Force describes the responsibilities of the Task Force to include prioritizing investigation and prosecution of deceptive, unfair, or anticompetitive labor conduct; harmonizing investigative methods and creating information-sharing protocols; promoting research on labor market conduct; and identifying opportunities for legislative or regulatory changes to remove barriers to labor market participation, mobility, and competition.
- The Task Force will meet at least monthly to assess the status of ongoing labor matters and will report to the Chairman quarterly.
