Florida’s New AG Takes Office, Arkansas Names Solicitor General & FTC Chairman Continues Appointments

  • James Uthmeier was sworn in as Florida’s 39th AG on February 17, 2025. He succeeded former AG Ashley Moody, who was appointed to fill Marco Rubio’s Senate Seat. AG Uthmeier has also announced his transition team.
  • Arkansas AG Tim Griffin has appointed Autumn Hamit Patterson as the state’s Solicitor General.
  • FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson has appointed David Shaw as Principal Deputy Director, Kelse Moen as Deputy Director of the Agency’s Bureau of Competition, and Douglas C. Geho as Deputy Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection.
