- A group of 29 Republican state and territorial AGs sent a letter to federal officials and agencies urging them stop the marketing and sale of illegal Chinese e-cigarettes in the United States.
- In the letter, the AGs advocate for increased roles for Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Homeland Security in enforcement, a designated federal leader for coordinated efforts on this issue, and for prosecution and imposing penalties.
- In other enforcement news, Minnesota AG Keith Ellison settled with an e-cigarette company that allegedly sold products that mimic highlighters and are designed to be easily concealed and used by children in violation of state consumer protection laws.
