- According to the complaint, the prices charged at the point of sale in Dollar General stores in Missouri are frequently higher than the prices that are listed on the shelf. AG Bailey alleges that a statewide investigation showed price discrepancies in 92 of 147 stores, with an average overcharge of $2.71 per item.
- The lawsuit seeks civil penalties for $1,000 for each violation of the MMPA, preliminary and permanent injunctions prohibiting Dollar General from engaging in price discrepancies, restitution, disgorgement, and further relief.
